THIRD WORKSHOP: “LA FRUIZIONE – UN MUSEO DEL MADE IN ITALY A ROMA”

Tuesday, 15th May 2008

On the 15th of May the results of the final workshop of the MED Master of Rome were presented, about elaboration of the experience.
The workshop, directed by Project Leader Andrea Genovese with the cooperation of Claudio Moderini and of Project Leader Junior Mattia Darò, was divided in 4 steps:

1) Lectures, meetings and visits (with lecturers such as Carlo Infante, Renato Parascandolo, Cristiano Castelfranchi, Derrick De Kerckhove, Cecilia Guida, Emanuele Tarducci).
2) After dividing the students in 3 groups, the framework of each single topic was addressed.
3) Afterwards, from the opportunities that were pointed out by the analysis, the students focused their work on a specific project (concept).
4) Sharing the goals and the values of the project, the scenarios to which each group aimed with their work were individuated.

From these phases born three projects: “ La scultura si racconta –the sculpture tells itself”, “Countless journeys above the sky”,and “Museo Diffuso – ArTour.”
Here they are:

LA SCULTURA SI RACCONTA -THE SCULPTURE TELLS ITSELF
How to increase the already intense experience of Galleria Borghese?
The use of new technologies is a possible moment of interaction and deepening of the experience, by enhancing the “before” and “after” the experience itself.

COUNTLESS JOURNEYS ABOVE THE SKY
A project for a new, more involving experience for the Vittoriano lifts:
Integration with the cultural activities of the city, augmented reality, memory of the visit.

MUSEO DIFFUSO - ArTour
Starting from the idea of a Diffused Museum for the numerous artistic heritage which is not exhibited, the idea evolved by transforming the idea of a diffused museum into a “participative platform” with the aim of raising awareness about the cultural heritage, hypothesizing new atypical scenarios to increase the involvement of the audience.
